My friends Jim and Kate and I have been working on this idea for a choose your own sketch comedy, called Junk.

It's written, but we don't have the money to put it on. So while we were brainstorming fund raising ideas we came with up a show idea that we're performing at the Brave New Workshop RIGHT NOW.

Three Shots in the Dark. It's a comdeic mystery written in a schtick-ey half-blind style by Jim, Kate, and I. Plot holes, Puppets, and Cross-Dressing.

We've had two shows already.
And we've got a show tonight.
And the next friday, the 16th.
11pm. $12.
www.bravenewworkshop.org.

Why didn't I post this earlier? I don't know.
Angelo you should let me know if I need to stay in costume for you.

Lo-Fi Prestigeous

I'm in a comedy show at the Bryant Lake Bowl!

Thursday and Friday nights in April.

Verbatim Verboten

Each show is made up of us performing about 20 verbatim transcripts of celebrities, presidents, Enron traders, the Mafia, etc. You may laugh. You may get a little angry. You'll probably walk away with some interesting trivia that you can dish out at parties.

The website looks a lot more professional than I feel. The idea of performing with some of those guests scares the crap out of me. But I sure am doing it.

Mayor Fatty Iceman

I recently went out to the Medecine Lake Art Shanty Project and pretended to be a zombie. This is a video with the climactic final moments. There was a bunch of stuff before this where we mauled a DJ who was interviewing Mayor Fatty Iceman (the guy with the sword) and took control of the CD player so we could do the abridged dance that you see.

I had to rip Jim's arm off and beat him with it in order to get him to come out and do this with me. If you don't know him, he's the guy with the beard in the freeze frame at the end. He's also an excellent zombie.

http://www.mnstories.com/archives/2006/02/zombies_on_ice.html

There's some awesome pictures of us eating wendy's after this. I'll try and post those later.

Jim's Birthday

I'm throwing a birthday party for my friend and rommate Jim. People should come! It's shaping up to be an adult version of a child's birthday party. There'll be a mural for people to draw 3-panel comics on, and rubber ducks hidden places, and cookies shaped like human organs...and some other stuff I haven't decided about yet. So all that plus alcohol and swearing and and lewd puns and all the things that come with being 26 or so.
This saturday, the 18th of February.
8pm!
BYOB
3506 Pleasant Ave #2
Minneapolis 55408
612-597-4545

The last day of my show

This Thursday (the 27th) is the last day to catch my show with the Brave New Others: "The Da Vinci Code Cliffsnotes, Or I Can't Believe It's Not Scripture." I wrote sketches for it, I'm performing in it, We're doing a 1/2 hour of improv after the show.

8pm
$12 total
at the Brave New Workshop (www.bravenewworkshop.com)

Some of the sketches have something to do with the title. I think that's saying a lot when it comes to a workshop-style show. Someone pointed out a running theme of laughing at fear. I support that thought.

Introductions

I've started this journal to assist with keeping in touch, because I'm starting to realize that, whatever my reasons are (I think I like writing...I'm pretty sure), I just don't write letters all that often.

And bang. Now I know that west wing was cancelled and how Amber's development career is going.

I will probably only post info about theater shows and gigs and artistic whatnot on my page, but the part where I can see your most recent updates and reply to them is mighty spiffy and we will now be in better touch.

Bang!
